Seeing God as He Is

Keith J. Miller is a pastor, Bible teacher, and author who helps readers see God more clearly through Scripture and follow Christ more faithfully in everyday life.

Keith’s writing grows out of more than two decades of pastoral ministry, biblical teaching, and theological study. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Bible from Philadelphia Biblical University, now Cairn University, and both a Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry from Biblical Theological Seminary, now Missio Seminary. Ordained to gospel ministry in 2002, his work is shaped most deeply by the ordinary rhythms of local church ministry—preaching, teaching, discipling, and helping people walk faithfully with Christ.

Keith and his wife, Roi Maw, have been married for 28 years and live in Cheyenne, Wyoming, where he serves as Lead Pastor of Meadowbrooke Church. They have two sons, Nathan and Seth.

Unique Perspective

My work is shaped by a conviction that Scripture is not a collection of isolated passages, but one unified story revealing the glory of God in the person and work of Jesus Christ. I am especially drawn to the ways Scripture interprets Scripture—the echoes, patterns, promises, fulfillments, and connections that help us see the beauty and coherence of God’s Word.

Whether I am preaching, teaching, or writing, my goal is not simply to explain the Bible, but to help people behold the God who has revealed Himself through it.

Writing Style

Clear, pastoral, and Scripture-saturated.

My writing brings careful biblical exegesis, theological reflection, and faithful application together in a way that serves the church and strengthens ordinary followers of Christ.

Whether I am writing for pastors, teachers, students, or thoughtful readers of Scripture, my aim is to help people slow down, see the text more clearly, and respond to God’s Word with worship, trust, and obedience.

Before I called myself a writer…

I was a pastor learning to help people see and know God as He really is. Through years of preaching, teaching, counseling, and shepherding in the local church, I became convinced that people need more than information about God; they need to behold His glory, trust His Word, and rediscover His purposes for His people.

Two convictions have shaped my ministry ever since: the glory of God as the great unifying theme of Scripture, and the mission of God as the purpose into which He calls His people. My writing grows out of those convictions. Whether I am working through Revelation, the Sermon on the Mount, or another part of Scripture, my desire is to help readers slow down, see what is really there, and encounter the God who has made Himself known.

Inspirations

I’m continually drawn to the beauty, depth, and unity of Scripture. Over the years, my thinking has been shaped by voices such as Augustine, Jonathan Edwards, Christopher J. H. Wright, G. K. Beale, Timothy Keller, and John Piper—pastors, theologians, and biblical scholars who have helped me see the glory of God, the mission of God, and the way all of Scripture holds together in Christ.

My current writing is centered on The Triumph of the Lamb: Revelation and Its Parallels, a Scripture-saturated study of Revelation that traces its Old and New Testament echoes and presents the book as a vision of Christ’s triumph. With Volume 1 complete, I am continuing the work on Volume 2, which carries the study through Revelation 12–22.

I am also developing Something Greater: The Sermon on the Mount and the Story Jesus Is Forming in You, a discipleship-focused book exploring what it means not merely to know the words of Jesus, but to be shaped by them and become the kind of people who live them.

What I’m Working on Now

When I’m not at the desk, you’ll find me hanging out with my family, cycling, and at the gym.
