Silence in the Presence of the Holy

In this sermon, Pastor Keith Miller walks through Revelation 8:1–5 and explains the silence that falls over heaven when the Lamb opens the seventh seal. At the center of this passage is an angel standing at the altar with a golden censer, offering incense with the prayers of all the saints before the throne of God.

Revelation 8 reminds us that prayer is not a small thing. The prayers of God’s people are heard in heaven, and the sovereign God who rules over history is pleased to accomplish His purposes through the prayers of His saints. Heaven is silent, but God is not indifferent. His people cry out, and He answers in His time, in His way, and according to His holy character.
