The First and the Last
In this sermon, Keith Miller walks through Revelation 1:9–20 and shows how John’s vision of the risen Christ speaks comfort and courage to a suffering church. John introduces himself as a brother and partner in the tribulation, reminding us that suffering is not strange for followers of Jesus—it has always been part of faithful Christian witness.
But Revelation does not steady God’s people by giving them a timeline. It steadies them by unveiling Christ. Jesus stands in the midst of His churches. He is our great High Priest, the all-seeing Judge, the omnipotent King, and the living Lord who died and is alive forevermore. The same hand that holds His servants also touches fearful saints and says, “Fear not.”
