Who Can Stand?

In this sermon, Keith Miller walks through Revelation 6:12–17 and the opening of the sixth seal. After the first four seals reveal a world marked by conquest, war, famine, and death, and the fifth seal reveals the cry of the martyrs, the sixth seal brings us to the Day of the Lord—the day when God judges the wicked, vindicates His people, and reveals that every kingdom of this world belongs to Him.

John sees creation shaken, the sun darkened, the moon turned to blood, the stars falling, the sky rolled up like a scroll, and every mountain and island moved from its place. The Day of the Lord will be cosmic, comprehensive, and conclusive. No king, ruler, general, rich man, powerful person, slave, or free person will be able to hide from the face of the One seated on the throne or from the wrath of the Lamb.
